Message Creation

(as I see it)

"In the beginnining God created the heaven and the earth."

No time is given. This is not part of the first day of Creation, but that one verse probably takes us from 13.7 billion years to well under 4  billion years ago. There was life of some sort, there was earth but there is no description of anything.

"And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep."

Sommething had happened, something massive. Our planet earth was now in darkness and water covered it. We don't know what happened but whatever life had been there was now dead. Whatever muds there had been were being squashed into stone and any remains in the mud were being formed into fossils.

Then God spoke, "Let there be light ..." and the creation of our world and our time started.

If we take Genesis 1 verse 1 we can see here the beginning of the universe. Was it a Big Bang? The evidence looks that way. Could it have been some other way?

Science holds onto such theories with an almost religious ferver and for far too long in many cases. However science does change its mind to some new theory from time to time but as that theory seems to mach the data it will do.

But what of evolution? There is really very little hard scientfic fact to back evolution. While there is plenty of logic and sound argument, there is no genuine proof. Or the evidence used to back evolution the above scenario would also explain the fossil record. Now there 's no proof for that scenario either but evolution depends on there being
